POSITION PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
RESPONSIBILITIES


GENERAL OVERVIEW: 
Responsible for the safety of employees, quality of the product, and the security of assigned assets during daily operations of the plant.  Ensures effective and efficient operation of the Soap Finishing areas of the facility during assigned shift.  Consistent with plant principles, drives for people development while eliminating losses and delivering business needs.  Utilizes best known practices to drive rigor in process and discipline in the execution of standard work.  Drives strategic loss elimination efforts using continuous improvement methodology within assigned department and across all shifts in the plant.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
1.  Achieve Base Business Results
    Achieve commitments in all Safety, Quality, Cost, Production, Demand and Enable Innovation  areas per Key Performance Indicators 
     Safety: Proactive safety plans 
     Quality: cGMP, quality action plans
     Cost:  Cost of unit per effort hour,  Cost savings 
     Production: OEE, Productivity, Loss elimination
     Demand: Product Availability; Order fulfillment
2.   Productive Assets
•    Action plans in place and used to eliminate losses during scheduled non-production time
•    Active loss improvement work identified and resources assigned to achieve savings goals
•    Deliver against loss elimination projects as assigned. Improve asset utilization through centerlining, rate lock, one point lessons, cleaning, SOP’s etc.
3.   Strong Partnerships
•    Effectively coordinate multi discipline teams to eliminate loss
•    Work with Quality Department to deliver on quality production compliance according  to cGMP
•    Support maintenance and engineering initiatives for projects as assigned
•    External partnerships - vendors / suppliers
4.   People Management & Development
•    Develop and maintain a high performing organization of enthusiastic owners (approx. 26 on shift) 
    Responsible for engagement development of Finishing Technicians on shift.
    Responsible for developing individual development plans for finishing technicians on shift.
    Responsible for operator involvement in continuous improvement
5.   Cost Control
•    Responsible to fully utilize labor, supplies and material usage
•    Elimination of loss through yield improvement projects such as rate lock, product weight control and packaging materials utilization.


QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Minimum Requirements:
•    Meet the legal minimum age requirement
•    Authorized to work in the United States 
•    Bachelors Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering
•    2 years management experience in a manufacturing setting
•    Shift flexibility to accommodate the hours of the plant’s operation
 
Other Required Skills:

•    Ability to engage production, distribution and technical associates and facilitate their development
•    Ability to lead a diverse team to safely meet daily production needs
•    Skills in problem solving and root-cause analysis; lean manufacturing a plus
•    Exceptional communication skills – written and verbal
•    cGMP experience a plus
•    Team leadership
