POSITION WAREHOUSE MANAGER
RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Purpose:  DC Manager II position is to lead the operation of two   warehouses and to monitor the performance of a third party warehouse.  In addition, this position is responsible for the timely labeling of all private label soup.

 

Principal Responsibilities:

Provide the primary input to factory accounting for the warehouse budget by tracking monthly spending requirements.

Provide expectations to direct reports concerning good manufacturing practices and monitor performance

Consult with direct reports to determine optimum crewing levels that match production and shipping volumes.

Provide input to the capital budget.  Review monthly spending and measure against the operating plan (budget).

Interact with other disciplines within the organization to answer questions, provide necessary service and to resolve issues as they surface.

Insure that required cycle counts are completed and that inventory discrepancies are resolved

Maintain the short shelf life reports for both warehouses.  Inform PPIC, sales, and quality about issues relative to their respective disciplines.

Consult with direct reports to determine optimum crewing levels that match production and shipping volumes.

Meet with the warehouse team members to disseminate key information and receive input concerning daily operations.

Prepare daily production, utilization, and status reports for distribution to warehouse supervision, factory staff and managers.

Monitor the various status designations of the inventory to optimize the use of available warehouse space.

Monitor the operation of the    shuttle fleet of 8 tractors and 30 trailers.  This includes the spending for rentals and diesel fuel.

Manage the fork truck fleet for the plant and  warehouses

Attend factory safety committee meetings, insure compliance to all safety requirements, and correct unsafe conditions.

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities required:

MS Office, I-series, Log Pro, MICS, QDOCS

Shipping requirements, Labeling procedures, warehouse and labeling contraints.

GMP’s DOT, OSHA, FDA, USDA and County Health regulations
