POSITION CUSTOMER EQUIPMENT SERVICE TECHNICIAN
RESPONSIBILITIES



Job Accountabilities
Ensure that customers are able to satisfactorily close components by the setting of equipment to handle variations by diagnosing and correcting faults obscure and recurrent problems on increasing sophisticated equipment.

Respond to customer requests for assistance and provide an emergency break down repair in order to restore customers output to planned levels with the minimum of lost production time.

Arrange pro-active visits to customers to analyze customer seam results or carry out independent checks and advise course of action as necessary. Commission new equipment and carry out repairs, inspections and subsequent on-site overhauls of closing equipment thereby generating income for the business.

Maintain good internal/external communications and keep manager updated on field developments, identify opportunities to provide training for customer’s personnel where new equipment or technology is being installed or where it is considered that skills and facilities should be improved.

Submit customer service report and time sheets in a timely manner; record all activities under the above accountabilities and by means of the unique contacts, relationships and customer activities.

 

Typical tasks performed by CES at customers:

Double seam tear down / evaluation

Double seam tear down document

Seamer set up

Seamer adjustments

Seamer troubleshooting

Seamer Audits

Seamer repairs

Seamer rebuilds

Seamer installation (mechanical – no electrical)

Seamer removal

Assist with  product trials / testing

Assist with product quality problems

Assist with Double Seam training

Gather and report information on tooling - equipment – product – processes etc.

Install tooling – equipment

Integra mechanical installation

 

Job Requirements
5-10 years of experience in manufacturing machine maintenance.

Experience with can closing equipment

Good interpersonal skills

Good computer skills to include word , excel and outlook

Technical training in mechanical / machine field

Good communication skills , both verbal and written

Strong mechanical aptitude

Ability to travel up to 70-80%, both driving and flying

Travel 70 - 80%

COMPENSATION $60,000 - $65,000
DEGREE BS/BA
LOCATION COLUMBUS, OH OR MILWAUKEE AREA, BUT OPEN TO OTHER AREAS AS LONG AS THEY'RE NEAR A MAJOR AIRPORT.
