POSITION MAINTENANCE MANAGER
RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Summary:  

The Maintenance and Reliability Manager will maintain and improve performance of the company’s physical assets and control maintenance labor and material costs to achieve plant performance goals. Provide leadership for a 24/7 maintenance team with multiple work schedules. This team is comprised of a Planner, Storeroom Clerk, Maintenance Team Leads, Maintenance Technicians, and Electronics Technicians. This position requires considerable interaction with plant floor personnel, leadership team, engineering, external support, and contractors.

Essential Functions:

1. Manage the integrity and maintenance of all plant assets, including production equipment, facilities, utility equipment, and grounds

2. Establish departmental goals that maintain focus on improving line efficiencies, product quality, and equipment reliability

3. Responsible for the hiring, training and development of maintenance staff

4. Emphasis on the development and enforcement of plant safety policies related to LOTO, confined space, electrical, and other industrial safety hazards

5. Manage capital and facility maintenance projects and resources through timely equipment installation, service and repair

6. Develop ideas and projects to reduce utility and energy costs

7. Determine equipment capabilities for new or revised factory layouts

8. Create a proactive work environment that involves mechanics in the planning, coordinating, and execution of work

9. Develop expertise in the maintenance organization on all mechanical, electrical, and controls platforms

10. Implement predictive maintenance strategies to increase reliability and increase planned maintenance activity

11. Utilize the companies EAM system to maximize wrench time and improve equipment reliability through efficient scheduling

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or similar engineering field

2. Minimum of 7 years of increasing responsibility in plant engineering, reliability engineering, project engineering, or maintenance management in a high speed/automation process or manufacturing operation

3. Minimum of 3 years of experience with capital project management from appropriation preparation to field start up

4. Demonstrated understanding of equipment reliability, preventive/predictive maintenance, lubrication best practices, and precision maintenance techniques

5. Experience with SMRP, world class maintenance, TPM, or similar systems

6. Knowledge of GMP, OSHA, EPA and other local engineering codes & regulations

7. Working knowledge of industrial refrigeration, HVAC, boiler, compressed air, and electrical distribution systems

8. Must be familiar with Infor EAM or similar computerized maintenance management systems. 

Preferred Qualifications

 

1. Engineering Degree from ABET- Accredited Program

2. 10+ years of Manufacturing Experience as a Reliability Engineer, Plant Engineer or Maintenance Engineer

3. CMRP or CMRT Certification; CIRO or CARO Certification

4. Experience with HACCP, GMP, and BRC

5. Certification under ICML

6. Experience with PLC Programming of Allen Bradley or Similar Systems
