POSITION MAINTENANCE MANAGER
RESPONSIBILITIES

Great location half way between Milwaukee and Chicago  

Maintenance Manager

We are looking for a dynamic, collaborative and results driven Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance department. This individual will direct the activities of various skilled employees by assigning work, monitoring those assignments and inspecting the repairs made. Participate in the planning and the implementation of capital, extraordinary maintenance and routine maintenance budgets. Maintain appropriate relationships to attain the goals of productivity, safety, cost, and quality. Support and promote food safety and quality program indicatives within the plant environment. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Designs, implements, and modifies preventive maintenance programs by reviewing production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics; inspecting operating machines, equipment, and systems for conformance with operational standards.Directs the activities of outside contractors as required to maintain equipment and processes and inspects and accepts work to ensure compliance to plant standards.Analyzes maintenance organizational effectiveness and modifies plans and programs to ensure maximum efficiency.Identifies current and future maintenance requirements by establishing rapport with management, engineering, quality, production personnel and intra-company peers in a position to understand maintenance requirements.Supports product development and improvement by reviewing new product plans; discussing equipment needs and modifications with design engineers; coordinating activities of technicians and workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment.Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual maintenance budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.Directs training and indoctrination of maintenance staff to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.Maintains maintenance staff by recruiting and selecting qualified individuals.

Minimum Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:

BS/BA in business administration, industrial engineering or related major or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems. Demonstrated knowledge of Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Systems. Knowledge of effective project management practices. Knowledge of fiscal budgeting principles and practices. Familiarity with food processing and packaging equipment. Strong organizational skills. Excellent computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office programs. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated supervisory skills. Ability to operate a variety of heavy equipment. Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery.

COMPENSATION $85,000 - $93,000 with 10% BONUS
