POSITION Human Resources Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES

Principal Responsibilities:

Demonstrated leadership, combined with a focus on strategic planning/thinking and finding creative solutions in a challenging work environment.

This position will help strengthen the leadership team through collaborative interaction, and be able to provide sound coaching and advice to managers on all HR related areas that impact the plant.

Considered a strategic partner, an employee sponsor or advocate and a change mentor.  Fostering effective methods of goal setting, communication and empowerment through responsibility, builds employee ownership of the organization.

HR manager has responsibility for all of the functions that deal with the needs and activities of the organization’s people. In the areas of: safety, workforce planning, organizational design, talent development, succession planning, performance management, employee relations, and compensation and change management.

Identified as a strong strategic partner through impact services such as the design of work positions; hiring; reward, recognition and strategic pay; performance development and appraisal systems; career and succession planning; and employee development.

 

Partnering with specialized HR areas, payroll, HRIS and EHS&S to develop and execute HR strategies and programs that are linked to business goals.           

Provide input in the design and development of company-wide HR initiatives and programs to ensure they are aligned with business needs.           

HR staff members have to think like business people, know finance and accounting, and be accountable and responsible for cost reductions and the measurement of all HR programs and processes.            

Advise management with respect to employee relations and performance management, with an emphasis on early identification and resolution.                 

Participating in regional and plant staff meetings to ensure an integrated business partnership and strong link with strategy and direction of the business.           

Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources to ensure compliance (AAP, EEO, etc)         

Train support staff   tied to the needs of each employee to ensure that all questions, problems and concerns are addressed in a timely and proactive manner with accurate and complete information.             

The role of the HR manager must parallel the needs of his or her changing organization

Strong communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.

High level of technical skill.

A creative motivated resolution manager.

Resolution and Change management Skills.

Must be a hands on professional, who functions within a team environment

Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred but not required.

 

Bachelors Degree Required  in HR or related field.

 

 

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities required: MS Office, HRIS systems, etc

 

Specific experience required:

5+ years of HR leadership experience

Management Experience in a manufacturing environment required.

A consistent track record for executing performance objectives and delivering results with minimal supervision are essential.

 

Certification/Licensure Required for Job: PHR or SPHR Preferred
