POSITION WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR
RESPONSIBILITIES

 

We are looking for a Shipping/ Recieving Supervisor

This person will participate as a key member of the warehouse staff to help facilitate and efficiently run the entire department from receiving to shipping.  The successful Warehouse Supervisor will provide leadership for all Warehouse functions as well as demonstrate good decision making abilities under pressure, attention to detail, problem solving and organizational skills.  The position will coordinate daily activities as well as assist long term strategy objectives. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Inventory management of packaging material, pallets, raw materials, and finished materials.
Manage scan gun usage to insure accurate inventory.
Manage the cycle counting process as well as approving and balancing counts.
Investigate inventory problems as needed.
Coordinate and execute emergency customer and department orders.
Investigate discrepancies with sales orders, customer codes, and quantities.
Manage department employees as needed. 
Balancing department workload.
Be able to back fill and assist as needed throughout the entire work flow.  
Drive continuous improvement within the department.
Plan, develop, or implement warehouse safety and security programs and activities.
Respond to customers' or shippers' questions and complaints regarding service issues.
As needed develop and document standard and emergency operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, shipping, or salvaging products or materials
Other duties may be required and assigned as needed.

  • Safety:  Managing safety within the department to being best in class. 
  • Inventory software utilization:  Be able to use inventory management software as needed.
  • Transportation: Knowledge of principles and methods for moving goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits.
  • Continuous improvement: Monitoring the department for opportunities of continuous improvement and implementing change when needed.   
  • Developing and Building Teams : Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
     

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
Minimum three years experience within a food manufacturing facility preferred.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a warehouse environment managing personnel.
Working knowledge of inventory control systems. 
Familiar with warehouse operations, inventory management and logistics.

COMPENSATION $60,000 - $80,000 RANGE
