Primary Function: Responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of hourly skilled maintenance and general labor employees. Supervise the glass container lines, while effectively maximizing the potential of the equipment through a sound preventative maintenance program.
Qualifications:
• Associate degree in electronics, electrical, mechanical, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of maintenance supervision in a manufacturing environment
• Strong problem solving, listening, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Supervised By: Plant Engineering Manager
Working Procedure:
1. Organizes and coordinates the maintenance/breakdowns of all equipment within assigned responsibility, including maintaining a necessary inventory of replacement parts.
2. Provides regular training of personnel as needed to maintain new and existing equipment and ensure good GMP Principles are followed.
3. Develops and maintains a constant safety environment and provide necessary training updates, while striving for zero accidents, and complying with OSHA standards.
4. Develops and implements process controls to provide continuous improvement.
5. Establishes and maintains positive/team relations with employees, other departments, customers, and the Union.
6. Maintains administrative records in a timely fashion necessary to comply with job requirements such as manning scheduling, maintenance activities, attendance, grievance documentation and capital projects.
7. Maintains all Environmental and Food Safety standards as set forth in plant policies/programs within Department responsibilities.
8. Controls departmental Hazardous Waste containment to include marking/labelling, manifests, emergency procedures, shipping and handling procedures and security.
