• Implements & maintains Environmental, Health and Safety programs in accordance with all regulatory compliance requirements.
• Administers Plant EH&S training programs.
• Conduct accident investigations, track accident trends, and assists in the development of programs for improving performance.
• Coordinate incident reporting and injury/illness recordkeeping for the Plant. Acts as a Lead and/or assists with EHS components on Engineering Projects.
• Evaluates EH&S risks/challenges and develops appropriate risk reduction strategies
• Provides day-to-day support and engagement with site personnel in executing assigned safety programs and projects.
• Oversees safety and industrial hygiene efforts within the facility.
• Conducts EHS audits and follows up on corrective actions with departments.
• Provides technical guidance to safety personnel at the plant.
• Leads, coordinates and provides ongoing development for the emergency response team.
• Provides training for all employees, visitors and contractors.
• Maintains EH&S related documents and records.
• Liaison for regulatory inspections.
• Improve the quality of safety and environmental management processes following established regulations, policies, standards, and practices.
Functional Skills & Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Experience with environmental regulations, including but not limited to, SPCC, Hazardous Waste, storm water and WDR permitting.
• Ability to lead and provide focus to others on EH&S strategies, programs and procedures.
• Ability to work well with all levels within organization.
• Ability to flex work schedule based on EHS priorities.
• Five + years of experience in EHS or Risk Management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Possess excellent computer, written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Safety qualifications such as CHST/OHST, CSP/ASP preferred.
