POSITION PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
RESPONSIBILITIES

SECOND SHIFT OPENING


JOB DESCRIPTION
Provide support, direction, and leadership for the plant production team to attain a highly efficient, safety and quality minded production department. 

Roles & Responsibilities: 
• Manage, evaluate, motivate, direct, develop and discipline production employees. Ensure that all work activities are performed with attention to high standards of food quality, safe processes, compliance with all appropriate legal requirements and a focus on continuous process improvement. 

• Plan, schedule and prioritize department work; utilize employees, equipment and material in order to effectively manage production with continuous regard to company policies and government regulations.

• Proactively utilize process metrics and experience to prevent problems that could affect product quality and safety. Investigate issues as needed and assist in the identification of root cause and corrective actions. Continuously strive for improved Overall Equipment Effectiveness.

• Collaborating with all departments to establish or improve existing programs to proactively address safety and other policies.

• Maintaining SOP’s to keep the facility ready for customer inspections as well as governmental inspections.

• Present trainings as needed including OSHA training and toolbox talks. 

• Accurately process and approve labor hours in Kronos.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Skills, Experience and Education: 
• Above average communication skills, both written and verbal to effectively convey and follow instructions.

• Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment.

• Previous manufacturing production and supervision experience needed.

• Good organization, time management and prioritization skills necessary

• Average computer skills needed in Microsoft, specifically Word and Excel.

• Drive for results as related to safety, quality and production goals. 

• Experience with GMPs, FDA, SQF, and OSHA preferred. 

• Ability to lead, model the company’s values, influencing and directing others while maintaining integrity, fostering teamwork, and encouraging open dialogue in an open door environment. Ability to manage change.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree – Business Admin preferred


Minimum Experience Preferred:
• Five years of supervisory experience preferably in a manufacturing environment. 
• Prior experience in food manufacturing is a plus.
