Provides strategic direction and leadership for Supply Planning and Demand Planning functions. 

Supply Planning includes inventory and capacity management at manufacturing facilities, co-packers and distribution centers, and is a key contributor to Customer Fill Rate results and Operations efficiency. 

Demand Planning includes analyzing and shaping future customer demand, partnering with key sales personnel for field-level knowledge, managing the monthly consensus process, and maintaining a statistical demand plan within SAP.

This key leader establishes guidelines and provides coaching to the direct team and other stakeholders.  The overall objective is to achieve network-based demand, supply and inventory plans at the least landed cost.  These responsibilities require an iterative mindset, a passion for systems usage, strong leadership and influencing skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.  

Position Responsibilities:

Key Experiences:

•             Strong knowledge of both supply and demand planning functions, including the demonstrated ability to build both process and team

•             Strong understanding of the standard operational key performance indicators

o             Understanding of planning performance relative to financials and key performance indicators

o             Knowledge of how to deliver customer service and working capital commitments

•             Cross functional supply chain leadership experiences (Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Warehouse, Transportation, Customer Service, Operations)

•             Experience in creating and executing contingency plans

•             Understanding of how to identify and improve Transportation and Warehousing cost drivers

•             Experience supporting new product introduction (RQI, Sales, and or Marketing)

•             Knowledge of how to assess long and short term capacity utilization to provide recommendation to ensure utilization is realized and or shortfall are eliminated

•             Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of SAP planning capabilities

•             Strong People Leadership skills with proven ability to develop talent and lead teams


Key Developmental Take-Aways:

•             Understanding of end to end supply chain financials and performance impacts

•             Deliver consistent results against KPIs using supporting metrics and methods

•             Provide strategic thinking and delivery performance improvements through leveraging relationships

•             Support long and short term capacity assessment and provide recommendations, New Product Introduction support, engagement with operations leadership, and execution against a balanced scorecard (demand variability, service, working capital, and cost)

•             Ownership of planning processes using SAP tools

Qualifications/ Education/Experience/Skills:

•             B.S. degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain, Finance or related field strongly preferred

•             Strong analytical and communication skills

•             Minimum 6 years supply chain, demand planning, or operations experience preferred.

•             Experience in and/or exposure to S&OP processes and procedures, customer planning and / or supply planning

•             Experience with supply planning software; experience with SAP is a requirement

•             APICS certified (American Production Inventory Certification Society) a plus

•             Time management / prioritization skills critical

COMPENSATION $120,000 - $125,000
